Currently Early Years Funded Entitlement is available for every child from the term after their third birthday until the school term following their fifth birthday. From April 2024, funded early education and childcare will be expanding and the new entitlements will be introduced in phases:

By September 2025, most working families with children under the age of 5 will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare support.
